Chatterbox is an online anonymous platform where you can meet new people, make friends, and play games—all while keeping your identity private.

Yes, you can try it first: look around the map, and tap a pin to send one free wave a day. If they wave back, it's mutual: unlock and your chat is ready.

Tap someone's pin and send a chat request, or wave. If you both wave at each other, it's mutual and your chat opens straight away. Once they accept a request, the conversation appears in your Chats.

Rooms are group chats (in Chats, then Rooms): one for everyone with a pass in your country, and one for your region. Messages disappear after 24 hours.

Yes, in a chat, once you've both sent a couple of messages: tap the camera next to the message box. Every photo is view once. They can open it a single time, and it's deleted as soon as they close it. If they don't open it within 5 minutes, it disappears.

Location and camera details are removed from every photo before it's sent. Photos aren't allowed in rooms or Blind chat. Remember that anyone can still take a screenshot, so only send what you'd be happy for them to keep. If someone sends you something you didn't want, tap Report while it's open: it's kept for our moderators and they're blocked.

In a chat, tap "Gift" to give the other person 24 more hours, send them a little gift with coins (they get half its coins), or send them coins. An active pass is required to send a gift.

To invite a friend, tap Profile, then Invite, and share your link. When they unlock for the first time with it, you both get 3 extra hours.

Coins buy small upgrades: a pass or extra hours, 30 minutes in your region's Spotlight or the World Spotlight (and a jump to the front of their line), super waves, priority requests, a glowing ring or a badge, a new emoji, gifts in chats, hours in other regions' rooms (as many as you like: Chats, then Rooms), and a Passport 🛂 to travel the map outside your own country for an hour. 100 coins cost GHS 5 (tap the 🪙 under your pass, or Profile, then Shop).

You can send coins to someone you're chatting with: in the chat, tap Gift. Every new profile gets 50 welcome coins for upgrades (these can't be sent). Coins belong to your account, so they're deleted with it when your pass ends.

Tap Play at the bottom and switch on I'm up for a game: you're on the list while the app is open, and anyone on it can send you a game request (or you them). Requests wait in Play's Requests tab for 10 minutes; when one is accepted, the game opens for you both:

🎲 Dice Duel and ✊ Rock Paper Scissors: rounds, first to 2 / 3. Quizzes of 5 questions, the most right wins and the faster one breaks a tie: 🌍 Flag Quiz, ➗ Math Sprint, 😀 Emoji Guess, ✅ True or False, 🔤 Word Scramble, 🧺 Odd One Out, ⬆️ Higher or Lower and 🧠 Memory Challenge (remember the emoji, then say which came where). Take turns: 🔴 Connect Four (4 in a row), ❌ Tic-Tac-Toe (3 in a row) and 🔢 Number Guessing Battle (guess the secret number 1–100; you're told higher or lower).

Games are free. A win earns 20 XP (10 in Dice Duel and Higher or Lower, which are luck) and the loser loses the same; a draw earns 5 each. You can win up to 300 XP a day; after 3 games with the same person in a day there's no more XP either way. Leaving a game in the middle counts as a loss. A win also scores points: for your country when you beat someone from another country, for your region when they're from your own (see them under Live). XP raises your level; it can't be bought, sold, sent or swapped for anything.

Yes: in your country's or region's room (Chats, then Rooms), tap 🎉 Play and pick a game, or start one from Play, then Group Play, where you'll also find every group game you can join. Everyone in the room sees it and can join for 30 seconds; it needs 3 players or more.

👑 Quiz Royale: 7 questions for everyone at once (general knowledge, flags, sums, emoji, true or false, word scrambles, odd one out or a mix); right answers score, faster ones more. 🔥 Last One Standing: miss a question and you're out, and the clock gets shorter each round; the last one in wins. 🎱 Room Bingo: a number is called every 4 seconds; mark your card and tap BINGO! for a full line. 🎭 Emoji Story: take turns describing a film, food, saying or thing in emoji only, while the others race to guess it.

1st place earns 20 XP, 2nd 15 and 3rd 10; everyone else loses 20 (Room Bingo: 10 for the win, the rest lose 10). The XP you win also scores points for your region (a region room's game) or your country (a country room's game): see them under Live.

Live at the bottom shows what's happening now: group games you can join, who just won, and how busy your region and country are, plus the Regional and Country scores.

Tap 🔥 on the map: your region's Spotlight (3 people at a time), the World Spotlight 🌍 (1 person in the whole world at a time), today's most waved-at people in your region, and the world's richest (most coins). Everyone with a pass can see them, including your coin total on the Richest list.

Blind chat 🎭 (in your Chats) pairs you with someone random for 3 minutes. You only see each other's age and gender. If you both tap Keep chatting, you see who it is and the chat stays. While it's looking for someone, you can close it and carry on using the app: it pops up as soon as someone's found.

Only accounts with an active pass can find and interact with you on the map.

They can't see your exact location: your pin is placed at a random spot within about 2 km of you, and others only see your nickname, age, gender and city.

Your profile, chats, coins and all related data are deleted automatically, and we'll tell you when it's done. To keep them, extend your pass before it ends (tap Profile, then Extend) — we'll remind you an hour before. The extra time is added on top of what you have left.

Never share financial or ID details, meet in public places, and stop chatting with anyone who makes you uncomfortable.
